The Art Rising is the creative alchemy of Angeline Chen and Kyle Block.
Uniting art and activism, they are dedicated to building bridges across cultures, exploring consciousness and harnessing Earth's wisdom and the power of art for positive social and environmental change.
From brushstrokes on canvas to hand-carved wood, sculptures on mountains to the depths of the sea, our work traverses many realms.
Portfolio
Our activism:
Global coralition is our non profit organization uniting art, science and communities to revive our coral reef ecosystems. we build large-scale sculptures, honoring local indigenous wisdom that we deploy into the ocean as offerings to the sea to catalyze coral farming and mangrove restoration efforts.
Global Coralition is a unifying force, aiming to accelerate cross-disiplinary collaboration to regenerate our oceans at scale and uplift coastal communities along the way.
Our current main project is in the Dominican Republic and we aim to scale this to the 30 most critical reef sites.

global coralition to build a land-based coral farm in the D.R
dreamweaver foundation to sponsor end of life dreams for elderly
Charity water to give people access to clean drinking water
Despri Haiti & Global Coralition planted 720,000 mangroves across the dominican republic and haiti, empowering women and fishermen.
CURRENT AND UPCOMING PROJECTS:
ESPIRITU
EspĂritu is a living altar that channels the spirit and medicine of the Amazon jungle. She embodies the jaguar (vision, power, and protection) and is cloaked by the vibrant spirit of the guacamayo (abundance, song, color and family).. we aim to build and debut her at burning man, sponsoring indigenous wisdom keepers to attend BM and activate espiritu on playa. Funds raised from the sale of Espiritu will support the Kayawai food security project for the huni kuin.
ATABEY - CORAL FARM
we deployed atabey, the mother of water from the arawak/taino people, into the ocean in the dominican republic. Since her deployment, we have established a small scale coral farm of three tanks at a local school growing coral and DEPLOYED 20 CORAL DOMES INTO THE OCEAN HOLDING 2500 CORALS. We are currently working on coordinating many groups together to launch a larger-scale coral farm operation in the region.

We host offerings, events, and ceremonies in los angeles to share the medicine from the amazon while bringing support back to their villages. reach out to get involved.
Website coming soon and ways to support.
MANGROVES - DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
We launched a mangrove restoration project in the dominican republic to restore the watersheds in the area with the local community. we plant $1/mangrove and have planted 720,000 mangroves in the region since 2023. every 3 mangroves sequesters one metric tonne of carbon over its lifetime - 4-10x more carbon than TERRESTRIAL trees. we offer adopt a mangrove programs for corporate partners to help reach their netzero goals.
