The Art Rising is the creative alchemy of Angeline Chen and Kyle Block.
Uniting art and activism, they are dedicated to building bridges across cultures, exploring consciousness and harnessing Earth's wisdom and the power of art for positive social and environmental change. From brushstrokes on canvas to hand-carved wood, sculptures on mountains to the depths of the sea, our work traverses many realms.

Our activism:
Global coralition is our non profit organization uniting art, science and communities to revive our marine ecosystems. we build large-scale sculptures, honoring local indigenous wisdom that we deploy into the ocean as offerings to the sea to catalyze marine protection, coral farming and mangrove restoration efforts.
Global Coralition is a unifying force, aiming to accelerate cross-disciplinary collaboration to scale local restoration efforts.
Our current main project is in the Dominican Republic with our project atabey.
Imagine OR
A 300 person intimate gathering, hosted for two years (2023-2024) that merged art, music, wellness, indigenous wisdom, and impact.
we raised $1.2 million that supported:
lakota pineridge healing center in their reservation
siekopai tribe from the ECUADOR to support INDIGENOUS families IN THE AMAZON to keep their land and begin growing cacao,
global coralition to build a land-based coral farm in the D.R
A well by Charity water giving 180 people clean water
Despri Haiti & Global Coralition planted 720,000 mangroves across the D.R and haiti, empowering women and fishermen.
CURRENT ACTIVISM PROJECTS:
KAYAWEI EARTH
We host events, offerings and cultural and healing immersions to share the medicine and wisdom from the amazon. We will host 3 large fundraising events to support a large-scale food security project for 6 villages of the kuni kuin in the brazilian amazon - building sovereignty for a community of 640 indigenous people.

next underwater sculpture site & the 30 reefs campaign
we are on a mission to scale our reef restoration project to 30 reefs across the world, collaborating with local ngos and international partners to accelerate efforts. the next sites on the horizon include india, indonesia, puerto rico, bvi, mexico, middle east and more.

MANGROVE RESTORATION
our mangrove restoration project in the dominican republic aims to restore this watershed and uplift rural communities. we plant $1/mangrove and have planted 720,000 mangroves on the island since 2023. every 3 mangroves sequesters one metric tonne of carbon over its lifetime - 4-10x more carbon than TERRESTRIAL trees. we offer adopt a mangrove programs for corporate partners to help reach their netzero goals. our programs empower women, fishermen and youth.

Espíritu is a living altar that channels the spirit of the Amazon jungle. She embodies the jaguar (vision, power, and protection) and is cloaked by the vibrant spirit of the guacamayo (abundance, song, color and family).
